Description
Short Song Description: Having what could have been a life ending experience, in a split second, end up as a life changing event.....bringing a sense of calm and peacefulness to my existence that I had never felt before.
Long Song Description: After the accident that I spoke of in "Story Behind The Song" above, I found myself at home....sitting at the piano with no thoughts or pre-conseved ideas running through my head....and this piece just came through me. These are chords and inversions I don't normally use, and besides adding the orchestration at a later date, the song was written in 10 minutes.
Story Behind the Song: I was in an automobile accident on a freeway, clipped from behind which made me spin several times and slam sideways into a guard rail.....which had me leaning half over the guard rail looking down at the street that ran under the freeway. The calm and peacefulness that came over me, thinking that I was going over the railing and crashing down on the street (where your entire life runs through your mind in a split second)....was life changing. I realized that I was o.k. with whatever happened.....all was well.....I was grateful, and content.
